I'm Melissa Mavour

Foreign facilities are required to appoint a Registered Agent to serve as liaison between the Federal Department of Agriculture and the Facility.

Melissa Mavour
My journey to agriculture was not a straight path. I started my work life with a Bachelor's degree in economics, planning on going into high finance.
Many years after deciding not to attend the MBA program I was accepted into I graduated with a Master's in International (Ocean) Transportation Management.
Those two disciplines come together in my work at Global Agriculture Services. Combining my training and experience in business, finance, international trade procedures and intermodal transportation affords me the insight and know-how to help agricultural entrepreneurs who have big dreams.
"Why agriculture," you ask?
While growing up in a country known as "The Nature Island of the Caribbean," being close to agriculture was unavoidable. I learned to love the land and the satisfaction of seeing a seed slowly mature into a plant bearing food.
In today's times of food insecurity; supply chain upheaval; anxiety around healthy eating; and constant technological innovations, I saw the opportunity to bring those worlds together to help clear a path for food manufacturers to reach heights that were not possible for their predecessors.
I started Global Agriculture Services with these things in mind.
